Fire Model

I am Tier 2 Canada Research Chair and assistant professor cross-appointed between the Department of Geography and the McGill School of the Environment at McGill University.

My research is centered on the theory and practice of ecological management. I am interested in the ecological dynamics of human dominated ecosystems, and understanding the dynamics of social-ecological systems.

I am a member of the Resilience Alliance, and a coordinating lead author for the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment.

I am also the book review editor for Ecology and Society, and maintain a weblog on Resilience Science. In collaboration with MSE students I have set up a Wiki for the MSE

This website also contains a list of my publications, an informal C.V. and some other information.

I teach:

GEOG 501: Modelling Environmental Systems (Fall)

ENVR 401: Environmental Research (Fall)

GEOG 380: Adaptive Environmental Management (Winter)
