I am an Associate Professor in the
Department of Geography at McGill University. I earned my MSc (2004) and PhD (2006) degrees with a specialization in remote sensing from the
Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Department at the
University of Alberta. Before coming to McGill I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the
School of Criminology at
Simon Fraser University, and a Research Fellow for
Tropi-Dry and the
Canadian International Council.
My research focuses on the application of remote sensing (satellite and airborne imagery) to environmental and forensic questions. I am particularly interested in historical land use change as documented by early Earth Observation data as well as airborne hyperspectral imagery and high resolution UAV videography and photography.
